About This Course
This course covers the basics of child protection and safeguarding, essential knowledge for teachers in a school setting, key points from the Lyceum Child Protection Policy, and the procedure for reporting incidents.
Learning Objectives
●Basic Child Rights – Every child has the right to safety, education, health, participation, and protection from harm and exploitation.
●Lyceum Protection Policy - School adopts specific rules and procedures to ensure children’s well-being and create a safe environment.
●Safeguarding Strategies – Preventive measures such as awareness programs, safe recruitment, monitoring, and fostering a supportive school culture.
●Types of Harm & Modern Threats – Abuse (physical, emotional, sexual), neglect, bullying, online dangers, exploitation, and other emerging risks.
●Role of Teachers & Reporting Structure – Teachers support students by observing, listening, providing guidance, and following the official reporting chain to child protection officers or relevant authorities when concerns arise.
